If you are looking for 'the one' place that meets your Fall Orchard needs, Belkin Family Look-Out Farm is probably it. One of the closest places to Boston, their vision is to be the #1 healthy, outdoor, family fun destination in the Boston and metrowest area. Almost an orchard/amusement park hybrid. Belkin pretty much has all the activities and features you might like in an orchard - hayrides, pumpkins, train, maze, 2 petting zoos, hay pile, bees, playground, and live entertainment on weekends - you name it, you can pretty much count on Belkin having it. While the farm was established in 1651, it has been under new ownership since Steve & Joan Belkin bought the farm in 2005 (it used to be called the Marino Look Out Farm) and the improvements and growth are substantial.
You should keep in mind that everything that is good about Belkin, does have its drawbacks. Closer to Boston means more people and larger crowds. Having a zoo, maze, train, playground means more for kids to do, but also more 'excitement', noise, and craziness. If you are looking for a great one-stop place and are ok with it being a bit more crowded and noisy - Belkin is great. If you are looking for a more traditional peaceful 'walk in the orchard' New England Apple Picking experience, other places will better meet your needs.
In short, Belkin is best for families with kids who don't want or cannot handle a longer drive and need entertainment and the full experience. Definitely not a 'take a date and have a picnic in the apple orchard' place. Weeekdays are definitely less crowded than weekends. If going on a weekend and you want to avoid the heavier crowds--arrive early!
A few other items of note: Senior discounts on Mondays, Frequent Shopper discounts, and Weekly Farm Market Specials. They also have a Frequent Shopper Card: after 10 purchases of $10 or more you get $5 worth of market items on your next visit. And, the farm makes it's own brand of artisinal gelato!

We’re a family of 6 who have discovered this as a great new way to enjoy and explore the wonders of nature. Kathy’s from suburban Chicago, so this is all new and fascinating for her. Paul is from New Hampshire, and his love for maple sugaring began many years ago when this was an experiment that he did in his mom’s kitchen…with nearly fatal results! We don’t recommend doing this indoors due to the impact it will have not only on the kitchen, it’s appliances and wallpaper, but on other parts of the house as well…talk to Paul’s mom for more details on that!
We have four kids: Siobhan, Meaghan & Kara Murphy and Kaleigh Boulanger. They started us in this hobby several years ago when Paul hosted a trip to New Hampshire for Maple weekend. We visited several sugar houses, and the girls begged us to try this at home. So, we tapped the red maples we had on our property, and boiled sap on the barbecue grill in our back yard. This has grown over the years to a more formal “back-yard” operation, complete with a professional evaporator and a sugar house.
We invest our time, money and passion to teach our children and now the North Andover community, more about agriculture and some of the wonders of nature. Although 250 years ago life revolved around farming, today people rarely think beyond the grocery store. This hobby gives us the opportunity to get in touch with where our food comes from and gaining a greater appreciation for the wonders of nature. You will see us about town as we tap trees and collect sap on a daily basis.
We would love to share this hobby with you or a group you belong to. Contact us at the link below or at 978-258-2889 if you are interested in arranging a tour. We’re located at 25 Turtle Lane in North Andover - second house on the right. When we boil we put a sign out at the intersection of Salem Street and Turtle Lane. We welcome visitors, so feel free to stop by if you’d like to see our operation. When you arrive, just park in the street and walk around the house to the back yard where you’ll see the sugar house. C’mon in and check it out!

Roslyn and Phyllis Dickens know something about Thanksgiving tradition.
For more than 50 years, the two sisters have been smack-dab in the middle of a holiday ritual shared by thousands of local families.
The Dickens sisters are the second-generation owners of the 57-year-old Belwing Turkey Farm in Seekonk. Every Thanks giving, Belwing's customers line up - sometimes a hundred or so deep outside the family farm

Our turkeys are a Broad Breasted White Turkey originating in Andover, MA. We breed, raise, and slaughter all of our own turkeys here in Lancaster. All of our turkeys are fed a well balanced grain diet. We also use a preventative feed for the first four weeks of life. This gives our birds a healthy start before they transition to natural nutrients. Our birds are grown in barns and outdoor pens, free to move around as they wish.
